The Rollei Premium ND64 filter for lense size 49mm extends the duration of the exposure by six aperture stops and is thus suitable for particularly challenging nature and architecture shoots.\n\nGorilla® glass and Luminance Coating - our duo for the highest optical quality\nThe Rollei Premium Round ND64 Filter is made from aluminium and Gorilla® glass produced by the renowned specialist manufacturer, Corning Inc., from the US Federal State of New York. Gorilla® glass is used exclusively for high-quality, sturdy display screens for premium Smartphones and high-end photo lenses. In a complicated procedure the ions of the glass material are exchangedon the molecular level in a simmering hot bath in an alkaline solution. The resulting increase of the surface tension of the glass body lends an already legendary resistance to weather conditions, heavy contamination, scratches and contact with sharp or pointed items to the Gorilla®* glass. In the rare case of a lasting impairment of the filter surface the coating prevents further splintering of the material. Scratches and score marks don’t grow any further and don’t lead to structural breaks. Due to the Luminance Coating, which was developed by Rollei exclusively for the new filter generation, distortions and reflections are prevented safely and an impressive colour neutrality is guaranteed even under unfavourable basic conditions.
