De Samyang 24mm F1.4 ED AS IF UMC is een prime lens ontworpen voor camera's met een Fujifilm X lensvatting. Deze lens heeft een indrukwekkend grootste diafragma van f/1.4, wat zorgt voor uitzonderlijke prestaties bij weinig licht en de mogelijkheid tot een ondiepe scherptediepte; een ideale keuze voor zowel astrofotografie als portretten.
Optische Prestaties
Met een optische constructie bestaande uit 13 elementen verdeeld over 12 groepen biedt de lens een hoogwaardige beeldkwaliteit. De lens beschikt over twee asferische elementen die sferische aberraties verminderen en bijdragen aan scherpere beelden van rand tot rand. Een diafragma opgebouwd uit 8 lamellen draagt bij aan een aangename bokeh, ideaal voor het benadrukken van onderwerpen met een esthetisch achtergrondonscherpte-effect.
Focale Afstand en Bouw
Het fysieke ontwerp is niet alleen slank (afmetingen: 8,3 x 8,3 x 12,4 cm), maar ook relatief licht met een gewicht van 630 gram. De lens heeft een vaste focale lengte van 24mm, wat bij de Fujifilm X-mount sensor correspondeert met een 35mm-equivalent van ongeveer 36mm, aannemelijk voor straatfotografie en landschappen. Verder is de kortste scherpstelafstand van de lens 0 meter, wat betekent dat deze zich leent voor diverse close-up opnames.
